Congratulations Mr. Smith Well done to Mr. Smith, our caretaker, who has won the student of the year award at Wigan and Leigh college for the Building and Interiors course which is sponsored by Metrofresh – this is a prestigious award and confirms what we already knew about him being excellent at his job and the school in pristine condition (with the help of a dedicated team). His cup and award is on show in the office. Soccer Match After winning 8-0 last week our football team drew 2:2 with Our Lady’s. We played the better football but the terrible weather conditions and small pitch proved to be a real leveller as we conceded 2 easy goals. Everyone playing though had a great and muddy fun time (and the spirit of the game was upheld). Again a big thanks to Mr Carrington (England still need look no further even though he does support Wigan!)
Playground improvements Following requests from the pupils through the school council a range of improvements are planned for the last week of term and in February. These include two cover shelters for sun and rain protection, climbing walls, trim trails and pencil stilts. Please look out for building work in the last week of term.
